A broken foot, addicted to alcohol, separated from his children, and a one-way ticket to Atlanta from Ashville, North Carolina set the stage for a comeback for Michael Williams. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Williams has struggled for many years with alcohol dependency which was compounded by his mental health disorder trying to maintain a functional lifestyle.

After coming to Atlanta, Michael continued to struggle even attempting suicide. But through assistance from his brother Samuel, Mr. Williams was lead to Hope Through Divine Intervention but could not meet the eligibility housing criteria. Although he didn’t meet the criteria he still never gave up. After several phone calls Mr. Williams was introduced to Epic Conclusions Inc. for supporting housing services and has never looked back.

Mr. Williams was placed in a day program to increase his life skills and found a sponsor to help him work the steps of recovery which has helped him gain 2 years of sobriety. Mr. Williams greatest achievement to date was securing employment with Epic in the maintenance department, and enrolling at Atlanta Area Tech to complete his GED.
